Morpheus8 vs 4Plus RF: Which Microneedling RF Fits an Indian Clinic?

Morpheus8 is the RF microneedling name your patients search for. The question for your clinic is different: does the machine fit your patient mix, your Indian-skin caseload and your cost per session?
In short: Morpheus8 suits practices that want maximum depth for body remodelling and brand pull. 4Plus RF suits dermatology practices that want microneedling and non-needle face and body RF on one console, with reusable tips.
Same category, different circuits
Both are fractional RF microneedling platforms. Needles enter the skin and release RF energy at a set depth to remodel collagen. The difference is in how the energy moves.
Morpheus8 (InMode) is a bipolar system at 1 MHz. Energy runs between pairs of insulated pins. Its Burst mode fires at several depths in one pulse. Tips come in 12-pin (Prime, for eyes and upper lip), 24-pin (face and neck), 24-pin Resurfacing (0.5 mm, superficial) and 40-pin (Body).
4Plus RF (Novavision, Italy) runs on DQRF™, Dynamic Quadripolar RF, also at 1 MHz. Four electrodes switch between emitting and receiving during the treatment, so the field changes shape rather than running between one fixed pair. The platform has three fractional handpieces: 4RFH (surface renewal, 384 micro-contact points), 4NFR (32 gold-plated needles for targeted remodelling) and 4MFR (motorised, deep structural work). Non-needle handpieces cover face and body tightening and contouring on the same console.

Where Morpheus8 is stronger
We sell 4Plus RF, so here are Morpheus8's real advantages first.
Depth for body work. The Body tip reaches 7 mm with another 1 mm of heat. For subdermal remodelling on the abdomen or thighs, that is hard to beat.
Patient pull. Patients walk in asking for it by name. Delhi NCR clinics list full-face sessions at roughly ₹20,000–45,000.
Track record. A large installed base and a big body of published work, plus a specific FDA clearance for soft tissue contraction.
Where 4Plus RF is stronger
One console, more indications. Acne scars, pores and texture with the fractional handpieces. Face tightening, jawline and body contouring with the non-needle handpieces. You don't need a second device for skin tightening.
Lower cost per session. Reusable, autoclavable tips mean your consumable cost per session stays low. With single-use tips, every session carries a tip cost before you earn a rupee. This is the biggest line in your running cost, so ask any vendor for it in writing.
Built-in delivery. UPR™ uses the gaps between RF pulses to push actives into the skin. You can pair a session with a booster without a separate microneedling pass.
Layered safety. RSS™ watches handpiece movement and skin temperature, and cuts energy if either goes out of range. That matters when a junior doctor or therapist is holding the handpiece.
Support in India. Training, service and spare tips come from our team here, not through an overseas distributor.
The Indian-skin question applies to both
In October 2025 the US FDA issued a safety communication on RF microneedling. It reported burns, scarring, fat loss, disfigurement and nerve damage with certain uses. The warning covers the whole category, not one brand.
For Fitzpatrick IV–V skin, the main practical risk is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Energy, density, passes and aftercare drive it far more than the logo on the device. Whichever platform you choose, budget for proper training and conservative starting protocols. We cover the protocol side in MNRF for acne scars in Indian skin.
Which one fits your practice
If your practice… | Better fit |
|---|---|
Is body-led and wants the deepest subdermal remodelling | Morpheus8 |
Markets heavily on the Morpheus8 name | Morpheus8 |
Is dermatology-led: acne scars, pores, texture, face laxity | 4Plus RF |
Wants MNRF and non-needle tightening without buying two devices | 4Plus RF |
Watches cost per session closely, or runs high volumes at mid-range prices | 4Plus RF |
Already runs MShape for body and needs a face platform | 4Plus RF |
Already running MShape for body? 4Plus RF covers the face side.
One caution on marketing: if you buy 4Plus RF, promote it as RF microneedling or MNRF, not as Morpheus8. Patients searching the brand name will still find you through the treatment terms.
FAQ
Is 4Plus RF the same as Morpheus8?
No. Both are fractional RF microneedling, but Morpheus8 is bipolar and 4Plus RF uses four rotating electrodes (DQRF™). 4Plus RF also adds non-needle face and body handpieces on the same console.
Which goes deeper?
Morpheus8's Body tip reaches 7 mm plus 1 mm of heat. While 4Plus is More Suitable for Face and goes upto 3.5 mm depth that you usually need at max.
Is RF microneedling safe for Indian skin?
It can be, with conservative energy, the right depth for the scar type and strict sun protection. PIH is the main risk in Fitzpatrick IV–V, on any device.
What does a session cost patients?
Morpheus8 full-face sessions in Delhi NCR run about ₹20,000–45,000. General MNRF sessions for acne scars are commonly ₹6,000–15,000. See RF machine price in India 2026 for the device side.
